MANILA, PHILIPPINES – Building on the success of its inaugural year, the SHEroes Summit 2026 successfully concluded a transformative two-day leadership and advocacy development program held on March 24-25, 2026. Co-implemented by Pina Beauty and the Women’s Alliance for Security and Peace (WASP) Asia, the summit brought together the Miss Universe Philippines 2026 delegates to strengthen their leadership voices and develop practical strategies for social impact.
The summit evolved this year into a specialized journey designed to help emerging changemakers discover, define, and champion meaningful causes within their communities. Through a curated blend of keynote addresses, panel discussions, and reflective workshops, participants explored diverse pathways of leadership spanning public service, entrepreneurship, wellness, and community development.
Day 1: Redefining Leadership and Finding a Cause
The program opened with a powerful keynote by Winwyn Marquez, who shared her journey of redefining leadership and the risks involved in becoming a dedicated advocate. Following the keynote, delegates participated in the “Finding Your Cause” panel and an intensive workshop led by Veronica Baguio-Hourani, titled “What Do You Stand For?”, which guided them in identifying the issues that resonate with their lived experiences. The day concluded with an exclusive Fellowship Night, fostering deep connections between delegates, speakers, and partners in an informal setting.
Day 2: Mobilizing Advocacy and Breaking Barriers
The second day shifted toward practical execution, featuring panels such as “Women Breaking Barriers,” where leaders like Capt. Chezka Carandang and Major Kat Aguilar shared strategies for succeeding in male-dominated fields. Another session, “How to Champion Your Cause,” provided tools for storytelling and community engagement to ensure the sustainability of the delegates' initiatives.
The summit reached its peak with a closing keynote from Venus Raj, who urged delegates to view the Miss Universe platform as a tool for profound social change through self-reflection and understanding. The event culminated in a graduation ceremony, recognizing the delegates' commitment to advancing their advocacies beyond the program.
A Collaborative Vision for the Future
“The SHEroes Summit is a space where women leaders and emerging changemakers can connect, learn, and grow together,” noted the organizers, highlighting the goal of translating passion into tangible advocacy initiatives. The program’s success was made possible by the coordinated efforts of the Pina Beauty team and the WASP Asia volunteer team, including 10 dedicated members who managed everything from production and logistics to technical execution and secretariat support.
By the end of the summit, delegates were equipped with the practical skills and inspiration needed to lead with purpose and create a lasting impact in their respective communities.
