WASP Asia joined fellow YSEALI, IVLP, and Fulbright alumni in a dialogue with U.S. Department of State Deputy Assistant Secretary Dan Cintron on emerging regional security challenges and opportunities for stronger U.S.-Philippines cooperation.

WASP Asia representatives shared how alumni networks can move beyond exchange programs and translate their experiences into sustained initiatives, partnerships, and institutions. The discussion highlighted the role of alumni-led organizations in advancing shared priorities, particularly in maritime security and cybersecurity, while contributing to peace, resilience, and stability across the Indo-Pacific.

For WASP Asia, the engagement reinforced an important lesson from the YSEALI experience: the impact of an exchange continues through the programs alumni build, the partnerships they sustain, and the communities they serve. Through initiatives such as the YSEALI Summit and the Alumni Engagement Innovation Fund (AEIF), WASP Asia continues to support opportunities for young leaders and alumni to contribute to shared U.S.-Philippines and regional priorities.
