Hello WASP

Updated: Oct 6, 2023

Quezon City, Philippines – On October 3, 2023, the Women Alliance for Security and Peace (WASP) reaffirmed its commitment to empowering young leaders and promoting gender equality by collaborating with the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Council of Barangay Commonwealth in Quezon City to host the event "Empower HER: Navigating Change Together."

This event took place at the Dona Carmen Clubhouse in Commonwealth, Quezon City, and featured a panel discussion, followed by a breakout session. The discussions revolved around addressing pressing social issues within their communities and engaging in conversations to develop solutions and projects that empower the youth and women in their barangays.

The event brought together 50 young leaders and 10 representatives from the women's sector, all of whom actively participated in the engaging discussions. The panel was graced by the presence of WASP leaders and YSEALI Alumni Riznelle Arnaez, Allesandra Gutierez, and Nicole Namuco.

WASP extends its gratitude to the Sanguniang Kabataan Council of Barangay Commonwealth led by the honorable Chairperson, Raymart Garcia, for their invaluable support in making this event a reality.
